KIDS Regio @ Golden Sparrow Festival 2026

From Selection to Programme

Once again, KIDS Regio is broadening horizons beyond national and linguistic borders by bringing cinematic inspiration from all over the world to Erfurt.
As well as providing exciting insights into the latest edition of international film festivals showcasing documentaries, feature films and animated films. This year, we particularly want to offer a glimpse into the selection process behind them.

To this end, we are collaborating with Berlinale Generation for the third time and are looking forward to hearing from Miriam Vogt about the current festival edition. In her role as programme coordinator for feature films, she is responsible for overseeing the entire selection process and is able to provide valuable insights into her work.

We are also delighted to welcome the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film, DOK Leipzig, as a new partner. As one of Europe’s biggest festivals for documentary film, DOK Leipzig invites its audience to embrace new perspectives and engage in dialogue about art and the world. Lina Dinkla will present the programme, which appeals particularly to a young audience with its narratives and artistic language.
