Eva Novrup Redvall

Eva Novrup Redvall is Associate Professor in Film and Media Studies at the University of Copenhagen. Her research focuses on European film and television, particularly screenwriting and production. She is the author of many books and research articles, among them the monograph WRITING AND PRODUCING TELEVISION DRAMA IN DENMARK: FROM THE KINGDOM TO THE KILLING (2013) and several co-edited anthologies, most recently the open access collection AUDIOVISUAL CONTENT FOR CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS IN SCANDINAVIA: PRODUCTION, DISTRIBUTION AND RECEPTION IN THE MULTI-PLATFORM ERA (2023). 2019-2024 she has been Principal Investigator of the research project REACHING YOUNG AUDIENCES: SERIAL FICTION AND CROSS-MEDIA STORYWORLDS FOR CHILDREN AND YOUNG AUDIENCES (funded by Independent Research Fund Denmark). Besides her academic work, she is a board member of The Danish Film Institute and has been a film critic for the daily newspaper INFORMATION since 1999.
