Born in Iran and raised in Germany, Reza Memari is a screenwriter, director and film editor. After earning a Marketing degree at the Bavarian Academy for Advertising (BAW), he worked as a PR and Product Manager for an American video game publisher and later as a Film and TV editor in Munich. After moving to Berlin in 2004, he wrote, directed and produced several live-action shorts. In 2012, he edited the animated feature TWO BY TWO. His original screenplay and feature-length debut RICHARD THE STORK was nominated for Best German Animation Screenplay at the 2009 Stuttgart International Animation Film Festival and will be released worldwide in 2017.
