Petri Kemppinen
Petri Kemppinen has held prominent positions such as CEO of Aurora Studios and Senior Advisor at Finnish Impact Film Fund (2021-2023) and CEO of Nordisk Film & TV Fond in Oslo (2013-2019). His career includes positions at the Finnish Film Foundation, the Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE and the Helsingin Sanomat newspaper. As a financier, he has supported more than 50 TV series and 150 films, including Palme d’Or winner The Square by Ruben Östlund and other acclaimed works such as The Border, The Happiest Day in the Life of Olli Mäki, Woman at War, Queen of Hearts, Worst Person in the World and TV dramas such as Cry Wolf and Paradise. He has served on the Board of Management of Eurimages (2006-2013) and on the Board of the Swedish Film Institute (2019-2023).
Petri is an international consultant on financing, development and policy, with more than 30 years of experience in journalism, publishing and the audiovisual sector. He runs his consulting company P1 Kemppinen and works at production company Good Hand Production, is involved in training programmes such as EAVE, Medici and Alternativa, and represents the post-production consortium Totalpost Finland. He is currently a board member of the European Women’s Audiovisual Network (since 2020) and a member of the European Film Academy and the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
