Magdalena Dzbik

Magdalena Dzbik is working for the European Commission since 2016. She contributes to the development of audio-visual policy in the Creative Europe MEDIA Programme, in particular in the areas of the TV Programming Scheme which supports European independent producers in the creation of documentaries, animation and fiction TV series, including projects aiming at young audiences. She participates in the organisation of European Film Forum events during industry meetings like Berlinale, MIPCOM or Series Mania. Magdalena also deals with the Film Education Scheme which covers a wide spectrum of complementary aspects of film literacy activities. Previously, Magdalena Dzbik worked as a lawyer in the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage in Warsaw. She represented Poland in the meetings of the Audio-visual Working Group in the Council of the European Union, dealing with topics of AVMS Directive, media freedom and pluralism, Creative Europe Programme, Regulation on the European film in the digital era. She was a member of the Presidency Team organising events and meetings during the Polish Presidency of the European Council in 2011.
